in anticipation of my new gocco arriving, thought i would start on a new series of illustrations... horse riding as that was my amazing birthday prestent from daniel this year ( although still trying to find the time to actually do it!)

i officially have the greatest bestest most amzing sister in the world! she so generously bought me a gocco print machine today for my birthday/very early christmas/the next few years worth of presents!!!! i'm so excited, i can't wait until it arrives!!!

after a days hard work i felt so happy to see this little package on my door mat as i walked in. I can't beleive how quickly they arrivedi might have to make a cuppa tea and flick!

alfie

these are a few pictures of a storyboard for a children's animation/book, if you want to read and see the whole thing just go to my flickr stream and the set called alfie. its about a little boy called alfie, who lives at the top of a hill miles from anyone - he's lonely and is desperate to have a friend. It starts with his weekly journey to Yemley, the closest village for miles to do the weekly shop for his poorly father, on his journey he has to pass through the woods where no one passes through because there is a child-eating wolf! on his way back home, the wolf tries to eat him, but quick thinking alfie offers him supper at his house if he is hungry, the wolf accepts the offer thinking that he will eat alfie and his father for pudding only the father cooks such a big supper, that the wolf gets too full! on his way home, he thinks about how enjoyable the eveing was and how it would be nice not to be feared and have a friend for once! so the next day he goes back and sees if alfie wants to play... in the end they become best friends and any sequels could be their adventures together, meeting different woodlan animals.

Oh its getting late and i've still got so much to do until i can go to sleep, did a quick doodle in my break and i quite liked it so i thought i would share it with you

in the woods prints

i've been working on a series of prints titled 'in the woods' using parts of the nursery rhyme little red riding hood as inspiration. i'm planning on the series being 5 (or 7) in total which i intend to screen print and sell on my etsy shop i am in the process of setting up.

angst

been feeling very angry today so i thought i would put it down on paper. i think its down to the lack of sleep i've been having! when i finnish my MA (13 days left) i think i am going to sleep for a whole month! i think i'm going to do a picture every day before my hand-in. it may keep me sane whilst im drawing hundres of frames and capturing them for my animations.
